Black Knights Kingdom

A warrior sees everything as a challenge, while an ordinary man sees everything as a blessing or a curse... Can I be something in the middle?

Despicable

An old man walking with a metal cane. Attracted a curious stare from a passerby. There was a cotton bag in his hand. He zipped into the school bookshop, quickly grabbed a copy of newspaper and left without paying for it. The cane, in his left hand moments ago, now appeared on his right. I slowed my footsteps, trailling behind his somewhat brisk walk. I realize he didn't need the cane afterall, and this made it suddenly seem scary. If it wasn't for walking purposes, does he use it to attack people? The metal cane looked pretty sturdy to crack a few bones, and more. I sure hope that this is just a plain old case of paranoia, and not an indication of an increasing number of weirdos/psychopaths in Melbourne. In any case, dragging a cane around for no specific reason seems pretty exploitative to me. Afterall, not many people would think there's much to fear from a frail old guy who can't even seem to walk on his own. After watching Irreversible (starring Monica Belluci and Vincent Cassel), the world just seem that much more dangerous and unjust...

Hehe let me go into a bit of a rant:

Why is it when we try to be fair to everyone, someone has to be feeling unfair at the end?
When it seems people bicker over the littlest things, when they are hardly little at all.
Is it better to stay straight on the path
Or learn about life’s little nooks and crannies
And play with the rules a little
We keep beating up ourselves for not being perfect
When no one can ever be perfect
We want others to see us the way we see them
Yet self-reflection remains a hard thing to achieve
Is it always better to join the moderate majority
Or be true to yourself and follow your heart
Even when the only reward is endless, thankless work
And your name might never make history.
Is it true that the sole reason for surviving
Is to hold on to an eternal dream
Am I right to say if a dream comes true, it’s often the start of another dream
What happens if there ever comes a day when dreaming becomes too hard
And the reality becomes too real
And all I want to do is crawl right back into bed
Till the next morning comes
What happens when you have to smile but really, all you want to do is cry like there’s no tomorrow
And hope that someone will somehow
Come to your rescue
And promise that things will be better
Things will be alright
And if no one does, you’ll realize that your own strength is the best fuel to carry you through all these bad times
And give you one more chance
To celebrate the lovely ones

Long day (s)

Yup, just concluded one of those today. Seems to be a daily occurence with many closed ones and acquaintances. Just quite amazed at how much one can learn when one's guard is let down, and how many opinions one piece of work can get.
On one hand, I don't feel like my writing's improved heaps in school, but on another I've gotten a new job offer based on a recent article, which I've just been informed by my editor that it's been noted by the event's PR agents, and not in a good way :( I scoured through my story and looked hard for any signs that might have triggered their responses. I'm really curious about what they saw when they read my article cos, to be serious, it's not much more than just a pretty powdered piece of fluff :) For those who are interested in reading this infamous item: http://www.designtaxi.com/news.jsp?id=4580

What is going on man? *sleepy.... sleep lahxxx
