What is L*O*V*E* ?

I walk. I talk. I think.
Sometimes life seems empty.
Going through the motions
Doing what I should be doing
Thinking what I should be thinking.
Sometimes I wonder
If only we can erase the bad memories
And just keep the good ones.
Would life be a lot easier to walk through
without all those excess baggage.
Do we really need all those pain to love
To grow
To feel...
"Love is what makes the world go round..."
But what if love means letting someone into your heart
and then getting it ripped into pieces...
What if love fails you time and again?
And everytime you love, you end up losing a part of yourself
And you're never the same again.
Love changes us, for better or worse
And we all need love it seems.
Just a little strange irony in the larger picture of life
Is love an endless search for a place to rest our deepest emotions
or is it really just a farce that will haunt us till our last breath?
I don't want to end this on a sad note
So let's just say
Love breathes life into each step we take
A probable risk, for certain,
And we can only pray that someone will be there to catch us when we fall.

Catching up on dvd watching!

... like a meaningful relationship, a good movie can made really make life interesting all over again

Hehe... guess that pretty much gave you a clue that I'm on holidays now :D The good thing about libraries here is that they have some interesting stuff like drama series and movies. Saw two impactful but very contrasting ones recently, Hannibal and Tuesdays with Morrie. One made me sleep like a baby while the other made me sob like a baby. Well... nothing like a totally gross gore and guts bloodfest to give the system a good jolt. Totally recommend both movies.

Going crazy in history...

5) Describe and analyse the policies of Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin in World War II. What did they want? What did they get? Be specific.

Answer: I don't think they know it themselves...

Now I know. History is not DULL, and it certainly is not an EASY subject to learn, especially at tertiary level. You would think that with all the literature published by all those academics and experts, aceing a TAKE HOME exam would be a breeze. Far from it. In fact, the more academic essays I read, the more blur I get. What seems easy so often turns out the exact opposite. Oh well. I can always comfort myself with the long deadline less than 2 weeks away. Still, exams are always a chore :p Good thing there's that Sydney trip in July to look forward to. Now all I need is someone calling up to offer free accommodation. Then everything would be perfect.

Just realised(!) after so many months that I'm living next to a Virgo. Hmmn... seem to have some sort of affinity with female Virgos these couple of years. Don't really know what to make of this trivia, but seems that they have some traits in common: An eye for detail, opinonated and possess larger than life characters. Which is fine with me :) Not one to have too many personal dramas, I'm content to sail through life with its ups and downs. Maybe it's not too good for character building but this sort of thinking does put Life's difficult moments in perspective.
